A 23-year-old woman with intermittent asthma presents with 4 weeks of clear rhinorrhea, facial pressure, and intermittent sneezing. Her symptoms are year round but are exacerbated during the summer months. An over-the-counter (OTC) antihistamine helps, but makes her sleepy. She is unaware of any changes in her environment and has no pets.
